Hello mushroom people,
Welcome to the Mycopreneur Newsletter — your one stop shop for staying on top of the global mushroom innovation space.
Today we’re dropping the final installment of our ‘26 Mushroom Companies to Watch in 2026’ list, a roundup of global fungi news with some punchy analysis, and an invite to our free weekly Mycopreneur Incubator at the bottom.
Today’s Incubator is being co-hosted by Eric Osborne of Psanctuary Sacred Mushroom Church

Our colleague and friend Edward Crowe is making his debut at the influential District 216 psychedelic social club in Santa Barbara on Wednesday, February 25 to share about how high dose solo psilocybin mushroom ceremonies help inform and guide his creative vison as a music industry executive and internationally published photographer. Edward manages the hit rapper Yelawolf among other notable acts and this is an absolute must attend event if you’re in the area or able to travel for it.
26 Mushroom Companies to Watch in 2026
(Part 4)

For the fourth consecutive year, we’ve compiled a list of mushroom companies around the world to watch for the year. There are tens of thousands of different mushroom companies operating in different niches ranging from multimillion dollar large scale cultivation facilities for fresh mushrooms to boutique farmers market operations to mycomaterials, medicine, psychedelic churches, specialized law firms, genetics, and beyond — this list seeks to highlight unique and compelling mushroom startups and gifted mycopreneurs who are making an outsized impact on the mushroom innovation space. Parts 1 - 3 of the list can be found by browsing the ‘latest posts’ section of the Mycopreneur Newsletter here (scroll down from the top of the page and you’ll see them).

Full Canopy Genetics is a prize winning psilocybin mushroom genetics vendor based out of Colorado in the United States. They offer the only isolated genetics for grow bags. An example of some of their distinguished work can be found in the Toque F8 “Nerds” isolation of Tidal Wave genetics, originally discovered by Tim Pig. Through careful isolation, the duo behind Full Canopy stabilized the unique "Nerds" morphology that has consistently performed at an elite level in state wide mushroom genetics competitions. The isolation has secured multiple awards at the Denver Psychedelic Cup over three consecutive years, demonstrating consistent potency and a unique alkaloid profile. Potency & Alkaloid Profile Lab reports from Tryptomics and Altitude Consulting consistently categorize Toque F8 "Nerds" as having "Extreme" potency.

Total Alkaloids: The strain consistently tests high, ranging from ~21 mg/g in 2024 to over 29 mg/g in 2025.
Primary Active: It is heavily dominant in Psilocybin, consistently testing between ~20 mg/g and ~27.8 mg/g.
Minor Alkaloids: The strain is chemically distinct for its measurable levels of Aeruginascin (up to 0.297 mg/g), a minor alkaloid rarely found in such concentrations in standard Cubensis. It also contains trace amounts of Psilocin, Baeocystin, and Tryptophan.

Tryptomics is an early-stage biotechnology company pushing the boundaries in elevated natural product testing and setting the bar with unparalleled precision for their psilocybin, Amanita, and functional analytical mushroom testing protocols.
There’s been a flurry of chatter and alarm bells ringing in the press about the state of the unregulated psychedelic product space over the last year, with a growing awareness that many of the products sold at smoke shops, in gas stations, and online which purport to be ‘magic mushroom edibles’ in fact contain a smorgasborg of undisclosed psychoactive chemicals.
Tryptomics provides accurate and reliable testing services that demystify both the psychoactive ingredients used in any given product, the total psilocybin content and psilocin equivalent, and also the potency and minor alkaloid profiles of the raw fruit itself. Below is a publicly available chart indicating the Psilocin Equivalent (a more reliable and accurate dosing reading than psilocybin potency given that psilocybin breaks down in the body and converts to psilocin upon ingestion ) of different ‘mushroom edible’ brands circulating on the market. Head over to the Tryptomics website for a deeper dive and more context.

PsiloThai (Thailand 🇹🇭)

PsiloThai is providing the pathway for medical psilocybin therapy in Thailand. In 2024, this company formed a strategic partnership with publicly traded Canadian pharmaceutical psilocybin manufacturer Optimi Health — a company whose lead mycologist has attended numerous Mycopreneur Incubators — to position themselves as leaders in the emerging legal psilocybin space in Thailand. To date, PsiloThai offers courses for Integration Training and also a Psilocybin Facilitator Program as the regulatory patheways for potential legal psilocybin therapy sessions are still being mapped out in the country.
Thailand famously legalized cannabis in 2022, which led to a billion dollar industry — in 2025, new regulations repealed the legal cannabis industry in Thailand, a move which may also signal a change of heart in the country’s approach toward creating legal pathways to psilocybin. Regardless, mushrooms grow ubiquitously in the humid, tropical climate and are widely available across the country at various points of sale on the underground market — just ask anyone who has ever drank a magic mushroom milkshake at the full moon party on Koh Phangan. As such, PsiloThai is certainly a company to watch to see how the psilocybin mushroom space evolves in the Land of Smiles.
Zide Door is by far the largest and most prolific ‘Mushroom Church’ in the United States. The Oakland, California based enterprise currently boasts 130,000 + members and hosts multiple events for their congregation annually. For anyone unfamiliar with the concept of a mushroom church, the First Amendment and its ‘Freedom of Religion’ clause in the United States prohibits the U.S. government from establishing an official religion and also from interfering with an individuals practice of their faith.
In this context, mushrooms become the sacrament used by the church and a constitutional exemption is afforded for church members to access this sacrament. Zide Door has pushed the boundaries of the law in defense of their church congregations right to practice their faith, and continues to make international headlines for their work in the space.
Though some would argue this outfit does not belong on a list of ‘companies to watch’ given their legal status as a church, Forbes recently documented that Zide Door brings in an estimated $5 million a annually.

TruNorth Naturals is an Ontario, Canada-based company that is leading the field in ethically wild harvested fungi harvesting and distribution. This B2B supplier offers raw, dried, and powdered mushrooms as well as a line of mushroom products all sourced and formulated with regenerative forestry practices and sustainability as a core ethos.
The explosive rise in popularity of medicinal mushrooms in recent years has led to a boom in wild harvesting, but also a flurry of unsustainable practices by individuals and companies intent on cashing in without respecting the environment that produces the fungi.
TruNorth offers a number of mushrooms that are still largely under the radar for most U.S. consumers (hoof conk, birch polypore, etc.) but with the extraordinary growth of the mushroom category at large, we are likely to see more of these ingredients popping up in product lines across North America.
Shroomski Magazine (USA 🇺🇸)

Shroomski Magazine is a Denver-based high end visionary art and psychedelic culture magazine that publishes three times annually. They also host multiple mushroom-themed events annually, including the upcoming ShroomskiCon on April 19th, 2026 in Denver. The Shroomski events feature a live fashion show, vendors with psilocybin mushroom products that are legally compliantunder Prop 122 in Colorado, live music, live painting and much more. Definitely tap in with this collective.
The Shroomski platform has a ton of action going on in their camp, and I’ve been fortunate to contribute the closing article for each of the last three editions, including their most recent drop which releases today. You can subscribe to Shroomski Magazine and tap in with the movement here.
Rights and Reason Project (USA 🇺🇸)

The Rights and Reason Project is a dedicated legal and advocacy initiative aimed at defending cognitive liberty and psychedelic science. The project is led by attorney’s Robert Rush and Brett Phelps, who have been instrumental in challenging the DEA from attempting to schedule various drugs to the Controlled Substances Act.
Though this initiative goes far beyond psilocybin mushrooms, the Rights and Reason Project deserve to be recognized and supported by those in the mushroom community who understand that the legal fate of psilocybin mushrooms is tied to a broader matrix of drug policy reform and cognitive liberty.
District 216 (USA 🇺🇸)

District 216 is a psychedelic social club based in Santa Barbara that also produces nationwide events. They have produced numerous prolific events such as the Psychedelic Playhouse in Denver during the summer of 2025, an event which drew 1500 people for a night of socializing, expert-led panels and talks, and live music centered around the psychedelic experience.
District 216 continues to be a champion for psychedelic education and culture in a robust community setting, and they have a full calendar of upcoming events throughout the year including one later this month with music industry executive Edward Crowe.
