Mycopreneur Incubator Finland October 3-6 , 2022

For international fungi entrepreneurs

Bonjour les amis,

I’m extremely excited to announce the second Mycopreneur Incubator taking place in Helsinki, Finland, from October 3-6, 2022.

Here’s a write up published in the North American Mycological Society Newsletter that showcases some of the highlights and structure of the first incubator that popped off in January of this year in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Mexico —>

Here’s a 1 minute wrap video that shows what we did: https://youtube.com/shorts/9pYHW39hs34?feature=share

For this next iteration of the Incubator, we are scheduled to be spending time with the fine folks at Kaapa Biotech, which is a huge learning and networking opportunity for anyone seriously invested in a mycopreneurial venture.

This event is application based to ensure quality > quantity. Applications are available on a rolling basis, so reach out if you think you might be a good fit.

In a chestnut mushroom shell, the Mycopreneur Incubator is an in-person series of fungi-centric workshops, deep dives, parties, and in-depth networking opportunities designed for international fungi entrepreneurs to connect, share knowledge, and to lay the foundation for future collaborations. It’s also mainly to have a great fucking time together and to celebrate out mutual love for fungi and our calling as people who’ve devoted our lives and talents to working with fungi. More details TBA on a rolling basis. I’m far more interested in producing a high quality event than personally reaping a profit from this event, so the pricing model will reflect that when it is announced.

If you are actively running an established fungi business or research enterprise with verifiable references, there’s a high degree of probability that you’ll be a good fit for this incubator. References from previous participants available upon request.

As far as what else is happening in the Mycopreneur Universe, you’ve probably already caught wind that I’m producing a satire festival to add a dimension of humor and thinly-veiled cynicism to the psychedelic renaissance - although renaissance might be too cultured a word for the shit show that’s taking the world by storm.

I’ll be devoting the last week of June and the month of July to giving this festival the creative resources and bandwidth it needs to be birthed into the world - there’s been an outpouring of interest from creatives and skeptics around the world who want to help bring the festival to life. More info on the festival is available at www.mycopreneur.com

The festival is scheduled to kick off online and in-person July 21st, 2022, with in-person screenings in various cities around the world on an ongoing basis afterwards.

I have no expectations for this festival - it’s an entirely indie DIY project at the moment, though multiple established businesses and entrepreneurs in the psychedelic space have expressed interest in sponsoring and collaborating on festival production. True story, an executive from one of the biggest psychedelic companies in the world reached out from Davos while there representing the ‘psychedelic community’ at the World Economic Forum event in May and pitched a few satire plot lines while asking to meet off the record about how we can work together.

The goal of the festival is to curate a really solid body of creative and intelligent satire targeted at the psychedelic and spiritual wellness space, and to galvanize that expression into a series of micro screenings around the world. I’ve received commitments and interest from people who want to host screenings in New York City, Toronto, Mexico City, and a number of smaller towns and eco-communities around the world.

So we’ll see what happens, but it could be something special.

I’m in Paris at the moment, thoroughly enjoying my tiny coffees and eating baguettes, stinky cheese, and chocolate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I’ll probably go on a juice cleanse after this week.

Thank you for subscribing to the Post-Truth Post, and please reply to this email or send me a message on one of my social media accounts to express interest in the Incubator or to collaboration on the Psychedelic Satire Festival.

Oh, the podcast line-up is stacked again - thank you for listening and please let me know who you’d like to see featured on an upcoming episode.

Merci les amis,

Dennis Walker
