The Strongest Mushroom

TTBVI Has Entered The Chat

Mycopreneur Incubator tomorrow, Thursday, November 7th at 5 PM East Coast U.S. Time / 2 pm West Coast U.S. time (Invite Below)

The 2nd Annual Colorado Cup just took place in Denver, Colorado last weekend and featured in depth testing results and data from hundreds of mushroom samples. Mescaline and DMT samples were also included in the cup, though there were only a few dozen of each of those compound samples submitted. Tryptomics was the testing lab that ran all the samples, and we’ll have more info from them on the process and results coming soon.

The strongest active mushroom to ever be measured came in first place in the potency competition - TTBVI, a Panaleous cyanescens species first found under a Tamarind tree in the British Virgin Islands (Tamarind Tree British Virgin Islands = TTBVI).

The TTBVI sample that was crowned victor in the highest psilocybin percentage category of the cup came in at a whopping 6% psilocybin content; for reference, the widespread Golden Teacher mushroom generally testes between 1% and 2% psilocybin content.

As such, the traditional measurement system of parceling out grams as dose guideline is essentially moot with the arrival of these types of new, much more powerful strains on the market. 1 gram of TTBVI would be equivalent to 5 or 6 grams of Golden Teacher, meaning that a new way of standardizing and implementing mushroom dosing measurements and guidelines is absolutely necessary.

There’s a wealth of data and insights forthcoming from the cup, and we’ll get into those in a future edition of the newsletter and in the incubator once we have access to the results. I got to glimpse them from the stage on Saturday night as I was hosting the Colorado Psychedelic Cup, but they’ll require a bit more study and analysis before being amplified here. A classy move at the cup was for the organizers to have me shout out all of the other testing labs across the country who have pioneered and laid the groundwork for mushroom testing: Hyphae Labs, Rose City Labs, Tryp Labs, and Magic Myco Labs among several others including:

ACS Laborotory in Florida has been at the vanguard of analytical mushroom testing for a number of years now. They are a DEA-licensed testing lab, and will tell you exactly what psilocybin percentage your product or biomass is testing at in addition to minor alkaloids and anything else in the sample you submit.

ACS Labs has partnered with the Mycopreneur Incubator to offer an exclusive 18 % discount to anyone coming from the incubator. Use code ACSMYCO for your discount.

Hot tip: Anyone who takes advantage of this opportunity will be platformed during the Mycopreneur Incubator and we’ll go through your test results in detail.

In other news,

Congrats to Jared Steele, founder of Terrashroom for his appearance on Shark Tank.

Jared joined us for a Mycopreneur Incubator session in August and spoke about his journey as a mushroom entrepreneur and some of the R&D his company was actively engaged in at that time - seems that things have leveled up a notch for his crew since then.

Coupled with the appearance of Mycopreneur collaborators Nuvedo on Shark Tank India earlier this year, I’d say we’re got something pretty special going on here.

You never know who’s going to drop into an incubator - we’ve had founders / principal scientists from a nuumber of the testing labs referenced earlier in the email, founders of 8-figure companies, journalists from mainstream platforms, and more cultivators, activists and product developers than you can shake a stem at.

And with all that being said, here’s the invite:
